Greetings to my visitors.

For the past while now God has been putting in my heart to share the Gospel with others, just as Jesus told His disciples to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

To be honest, I’ve kind of been putting it off, but God just keeps bringing it up in my heart and I know it’s God beuse every time it pops in my heart it’s stronger every time.

So I’ve decided to do what God’s been wanting me to do.

Now before I start I just want to say that I am by no means a Pastor or Minister. What I’m about to talk to you about comes from what God has been putting in my heart to share with the word. I strongly encourage you to look up various scriptures and study what I’m about to share with you.

So let’s get started.

When God created the Heaven’s and the earth and Adam and Eve, everything was perfect.

In the book of Genesis chapter 3 verse 16-17, God said; 16And theLord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Later on the serpent (satan) approached Eve and tricked her into eating from the tree that God forbid them to eat. The serpent told Eve that if she ate from that tree that she would be like God.

Look at what chapter 3 verses 1 to 5;

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals theLord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,3but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

4“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.5“For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

So she took some fruit and ate some with her husband Adam. The Bible says that from the moment they ate from the forbidden fruit that their eyes were immediately open and they noticed that they were both naked, so they both went to hide and covered themselves and made themselves coverings with fig leaves.

From the moment they ate from that tree, that is when sin entered the world.

Now I’ve had people come to me and say stuff like “so it’s their fault.” In a way yes it is because they disobeyed God, however, even if Adam & Eve had listened to God, I’m sure that at sometime or another between then and now someone would have disobeyed God by eating from that tree.

How to receive forgiveness from God in the Old Testament

In the Old Testament in order to receive forgiveness whenever they sinned people had to offer a blood sacrifice (animal) not human.

In the OT that was the ONLY way for them to receive forgiveness.

After a while, God saw that this was hard on His children so God decided to send His one and ONLY Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to be the ultimate sacrifice. (John 3:16)

God sacrificed His own son for us.

Let me tell you something; in a way I’m glad He did. I mean can you imagine how many blood sacrifices we’d have to do if we were still in the OT? First it would cost us a fortune, not to mention the mental impact that we would have for killing animals.

So Jesus died on the cross, resurrected from the dead 3 days later, went to see His disciples and now He is seated at the right hand of the Father.

All we need to do in order to enter Heaven when we die or when Jesus returns (Matthew 24), all we need to do is ask Jesus to come into our heart and life. That way whenever we sin the Bible says that we simply have to ask God to forgive our sins and He will because Jesus paid the universe sacrifice when He died on the cross.

By accepting Jesus into our hearts and lives doesn’t mean that its a wildcard and that we can sin whenever we want thinking God will wipe the slate clean every time.

God knows our heart and will know if we’re “using Him”. Now at the same time, there is no limit on the number of times God will forgive us. In the book of Matthew chapter 18 verses 21-22 it says;

21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

22Jesus answered,“I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Jesus is saying that there is no limit on God’s forgiveness. It says “seventy-seven but that just means there is no limit.

Picture this. A man gets summoned to court for having thousands of dollars in fines. Just as the judge (God) is about to sentence the man to jail, someone walks into the court room (Jesus) and tells the Judge that He has paid the man’s fines, so the Judge (God) dismisses all the charges.

That’s pretty much what Jesus does for us in Heaven, He pleads our case to His father.

In God’s eyes all sin is the same.  Swearing is as bad as murder. If we are truly sorry and have repented from our sin, God will forgive us. Just think of all the sins, God will forgive you as long as you repent and try to better yourself.

Now even if you truly repent for your sin, but accidentally make the same mistake over and over again (not on purpose of course) as long as you’re honestly trying to stop, God will forgive you.

The Bible says that there is only one sin that God will not forgive and that’s blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Matthew chapter 12 verses 31 to 32 says;

31And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.32Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Anyhow I hope you’ve learned something throughout this message.

Here is a picture of how man is constantly trying to reach God by being good, going to church, etc. without success. Now I’m not saying church is not important but church without having Jesus Christ in your life is pointless.

If you would like to join God’s family and receive His gift, I’ll invite you to read out this short prayer.

“Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life. Wash me clean. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That he died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my Victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my Savior and Lord. I receive eternal life, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Now that you have invited Jesus Christ into your heart, one of the first things I suggest you to do is get yourself a Bible and read it. The Bible is God’s love letter to us. I suggest either a NIV or ESV (New International Version or English Standard Version)

You can also download a Bible on your smartphone.  “Bible Gateway” is one of the best, it’s actually one that I use alot. It’s available both for Androids & IOS devices. They offer a free version which comes with ads. You can upgrade to the paid version which removes the ads and gives you bonus features that are practical for less than $5.00. It also comes with a 14 day trial.

The next thing on your list is to find yourself a good church that actually talks about God. Not just the good stories but everything. My personal type of church is a Pentecostal church.

If you’d like help on finding a church, getting a Bible or have any questions or comments on what I’ve talked about in this message, I encourage you to send me a message through my contact form.

I also encourage you to watch my Video Podcasts.

Thank you & God bless.
